How much does a roll of centipede sod cost?

Centipede sod pricing varies by season, order volume, and delivery distance. In 2026, our per-roll pricing falls within the current coastal NC market ranges, with volume discounts available on larger roll and big-roll orders. How much sod does one roll cover?

A standard roll of Creekside centipede sod covers approximately 450 square feet. For larger contractor, builder, property management, and commercial projects, multiple roll orders are common and may qualify for volume pricing.

How fast can you deliver?

For deliveries within our standard 7-city footprint (Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry, Swansboro, Richlands, Havelock/Cherry Point, Holly Ridge, Surf City), we typically offer next-business-day delivery depending on order time and current schedule. During peak spring and summer install season, lead time can extend to 2-3 business days. We'll confirm exact delivery timing when we send your quote.

Do you offer big rolls for contractor installs?

Yes. Big-roll format is available for larger commercial and contractor projects where roll installation is faster on-site than rolls. Pricing and minimum order quantities differ from roll orders. Contact us for big-roll quotes.

Why centipede grass for coastal NC?

Centipede grass is well-suited to coastal North Carolina's climate (USDA hardiness zone 8a-8b), sandy soils, and heat / humidity profile. It tolerates partial shade better than Bermuda, requires significantly less fertilization than tall fescue or zoysia, and stays attractive with relatively low maintenance. It is the most widely planted residential turf variety for the coastal Carolina region for good reasons. For specific soil-type or sun-exposure recommendations, the NC State Cooperative Extension publishes detailed guidance, and we coordinate with their guidance on every order.

What's the difference between sod and seed?

Sod gives you an established lawn the day it's installed: full ground coverage, weed-free turf, no waiting through a germination period. Seeded lawns are cheaper up front but take 6-12 weeks to establish, during which weeds compete for space and watering requirements are more demanding. For coastal NC residential lawns where a finished look matters, sod almost always pays off. For larger acreage projects, seed may still be more economical.

Do you deliver outside the 7-city zone?

Sometimes, we take occasional deliveries to neighboring Pender, Carteret, and Craven county locations based on volume and route. Ask. We're honest about whether your location works for our standard delivery and pricing model.

How do I know your sod is fresh?

Every Creekside Sod Farm roll is harvested from our Jacksonville farm the day before or day of delivery. We do not warehouse sod or stage it for more than 24 hours after cutting. If you want to inspect before unloading, our driver will wait while you check.

What if my sod doesn't take?

Most failed sod installs trace back to one of three causes: install timing (sod sat too long between cut and install), watering protocol (under-watered in the first 14 days), or site prep (the soil wasn't ready). We send sod that's fresh, provide the watering guide. If there's a legitimate defect with the sod itself when it arrives, we make it right. We can't warranty against an install we didn't perform, but we're transparent about the difference.
