- HOW WE PRICE
Transparent. No "Call For Pricing" Runaround.
We believe sod pricing should be straightforward. The competitor model of “call for pricing” is designed to harvest your phone number and pressure you into a sale conversation. We don’t operate that way.
- Standard per-roll pricing is based on:
- Current 2026 cost basis (centipede sod is a commodity with seasonal cost variation we don't control)
- Order volume (multi-roll orders earn discounted per-roll pricing)
- Delivery distance within our standard 7-city service zone
- Delivery format (roll vs big roll)
- Delivery timing (peak season may carry surcharges during constraint weeks)

- BIG ROLL
Big-Roll Centipede Sod For Contractor Projects
Creekside Sod Farm supplies fresh-cut centipede sod by the big roll for commercial, contractor, property management, and new construction projects. Big-roll sod is designed for efficient installation on larger open areas and active jobsites with the proper unloading and installation equipment.
- Roll dimensions
- Coverage per roll
- Format: faster install on large open areas, better for contractor crews with the right unloading equipment
- Minimum order
Big-roll orders typically require coordination with your install crew for direct unload, we don’t drop big rolls at residential driveways unless your install plan accounts for handling them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each standard roll of Creekside Sod Farm centipede sod covers approximately 450 square feet. For estimating purposes, 1 roll covers about 450 sq ft, 2 rolls cover about 900 sq ft, 5 rolls cover about 2,250 sq ft, and 10 rolls cover about 4,500 sq ft. What's the minimum order?
The minimum order is 14 loads. Orders are scheduled based on delivery location, current availability, truck schedule, and project timeline.
Can I pick up sod at the farm instead of delivery?
Yes. Roll pickup is available at our farm at 763 Grants Creek Road in Jacksonville by appointment. Pickup pricing reflects the savings on delivery logistics. Call 910.939.8997 to schedule.
When is the best season for sod installation?
Centipede sod can be installed year-round in coastal North Carolina when ground and weather conditions allow. The preferred installation seasons are spring and fall, when temperatures are milder and watering demands are easier to manage. Summer and winter installs are still possible, but timing, watering, and site conditions become more important. We confirm scheduling guidance during the quote process based on the season, current weather, and project timeline.
How fast can you deliver?
Standard next-business-day delivery for orders received during business hours within our 7-city footprint. During peak season (March-June especially), lead times can extend to 2-3 business days. We confirm exact delivery timing when sending your quote. We do not run multi-week lead times, sod that sits in a warehouse for two weeks before it gets to your driveway is not fresh sod.
Why choose centipede sod for coastal NC sandy soils?
Creekside Sod Farm specializes in fresh-cut centipede sod because it performs well in coastal North Carolina conditions, including sandy soils, summer heat, humidity, and lower-maintenance turf needs. For contractors, builders, property management teams, and commercial sites, centipede sod is a practical choice for clean finished lawns, new-build exterior completion, rental turnover projects, and larger open turf areas.
Do you sell sod by the roll?
Yes. Creekside Sod Farm sells fresh-cut centipede sod by the roll for contractor, commercial, property management, and new construction projects. Roll orders are scheduled based on quantity, delivery location, current availability, and truck timing. Larger jobsite orders are quoted based on total roll quantity and project needs.
What happens if it rains?
Rain can affect sod delivery depending on whether the sod has already been cut and how much rain the farm receives. If the sod has already been cut, delivery may still be possible as long as road and jobsite conditions are safe. If the sod has not been cut yet, timing depends on rainfall amount and whether our crew can safely get into the field to harvest. Heavy rain, saturated fields, active storms, or unsafe driving conditions may delay cutting or delivery. If weather affects your order, we will coordinate updated timing with you.
